PAST PUPS FROM ROCKY TOP FARM
AUSTRALIAN SHEPHERDS are one of the best choices for a companion dog for active families! They are very active and do need regular exersize.
The Australian Shepherd became popular in the Western States in the early 1950's and is known for its' herding ability. In June of 1957, the Australian Shepherd Club of America was founded in Tucson, Arizona and became the Official Registry for the breed. General Appearance is a compact, well balanced dog (athletic and alert). They come in Black, Blue Merle, Red, and Red Merle (all with or without copper or tan and/or white markings). Their coats are of moderate length, water resistant with short thick undercoats. Tails are naturally bobbed or docked (no more than 4 inches long).
Our dogs are mainly part of our family and help us work the herds and give us lots of love and affection. We are hobby breeders and when we breed we do so to improve the overall quality of the breed according to it's individual standard, without sacrificing personalities! Occasionally we have puppies for sale to approved homes only. Prospective new owners will have to answer a few questions on our adoption survey before we accept deposits on any of our puppies. Unless discussed with prospective new owners all puppies are sold on a spay/neuter contract. We are members of the Australian Shepherd Club of America, Inc. Our dogs are AKC, ASCA, and/or National Stock Dog Registered. Many have champion lineage. This site was designed by Kelly Bailey. All pictures are the property of Rocky Top Farm.

Hi Kelly,
Hope you and your family are doing well. I just wanted to send you a recent picture of Scout. We got him from you about a year ago. He looks like Rocky and weighs a hefty 70 lbs. He is so smart and my other 2 dogs love him. He heards us all with no training. It amazes me how much of the breed traits are in his blood. He loves to run along side our 4 wheeler and can get up to 27 mph. He is very loyal and follows us everywhere. He loves to ride in the car and of course i cannot keep him out of any body of water, see picture in his pool after a hair cut.. He makes us so proud and does great in large crowds and is very social. We could not have been more lucky to have him with us. Thanks again. Sharon & Tim

Dear Kelly,
We just wanted to let you know that everything is going well with Oggie and his adjustment to his new home. He seems very happy and is picking up quickly on things we are teaching him. We went to the vet who said he is very healthy and seems well adjusted around people. In fact, he charmed all of the staff at the veterinarian's office.
Thank you again for the newest addition to our home.

Comments from Cheryl: I adopted Madison, the runt of Ruby's litter in March. I just wanted to update you on how great she is doing. She is almost 30lbs, she has all her shots, and has a vet that adores her. She is, for the most part, house trained. But most importantly she is a joy. She is such a happy puppy. She loves to run and jump. We actually built her some hurdles that she will jump over at varying heights. I creatively decided to ride my bike around the back yard so she can run fast and jump. She is catching onto the game of frisbee but is still working on the eye, mouth, jumping coordination. Thanks for breeding and giving me such a wonderful pet!
Kelly,
I just wanted to send you a quick update on Irie.
We are all adjusting and doing well with our newest member of the family. Indy is doing great being a "big brother" and has even shown Irie how to start to go after the frisbee - much to our delight. On Tuesday, she had her first vet visit and was pronounced absolutely beautiful and healthy.
We could not be more thrilled! Thank you so much!

Hey! Sure doesn't seem like it has been 10 months since we came to get Triggs.
He has the best temperament in the world...he can now open the front door, kennel
door and sliding glass door given the chance. He is amazing! This has got to be the
most fantastic breed ever.
