Letters/emails we have recieved from adoptive families:

Hi Kelly,

It's only been a few days, but I wanted to let you know how Meeko is doing.  We went to the vet on Wed. and he is in good health.  He had his 2nd set of vaccines (oral ones) and did very well on his first appoinment.   He did not eat or drink much his first day here, but I guess that is to be expected.  He is eating and drinking fine now, although he is scared of his bowls.  Meeko has lots and lots of toys to keep him busy, and he has really taken to Ariel.  He cannot be without her.  They play together so much that he sleeps really well.  He still has separation anxiety, but he is getting better every day.  We are working on the potty training.  Sometimes he really gets it and other times he does his own thing.  We have a proper lead for him now, and he loves going in the yard to do his business.

Attached is a pic. of  Ariel and Meeko.  We removed almost all the furniture in our kitchen so he can't get into too much trouble for the time being.

I'll keep you updated on Meeko as he makes great strides.  Thank you again for this incredible little pup.

Hi, Kelly!

Thanks for letting us visit yesterday!  Bonnie seems like a great little dog.  We also wanted to send some pictures of Tristan at 2 years old now!  He’s around 7lbs. and has the best personality.  He’s such a fun-loving little dog and really enjoys playing with toys.

Thanks!

(Rick and Alexie now have 2 Papillons from Rocky Top Farm!)

Kelly,
Attached are a couple of pics of Felix (formerly known as Ken) at 6 months old on July 20th.  He is doing great!  He and Oscar get along great...play quite a bit...and tires "old" Oscar out.
We finished with the shots, etc. at the vets the other day.  He weighed 7.3 lbs and is quite a flirt with the girls at the vets office.  The only Papillons the vet has seen have been ours. We will keep in touch and send more photos as he continues to grow.  Just want you to know that we all (humans and dogs) are happy with our adoption.

Regards,

John   8/08

Hi Kelly:

I wanted to give you an update on Radar.  Here's a few pictures of him last Sunday.  Isn't he cute in his little coat?  He went to the vet on Saturday to get his last set of shots.  He weights 6.3 pounds.  He gained a pound since his last visit.  He is doing great.  We have learned sit, come, lay down, fetch  and let's go.  We went for our first walk in the neighborhood Monday.  I didn't want to take him for a walk until we had all his shots.  He's really a loving puppy. We are doing much better with potty training now.  I am happy spring is just around the corner so we can spend more time outdoors.  He likes to chase leaves and drag sticks around.

All of our pups are raised in our home and given lots of attention! On nice days they have an indoor and outdoor kennels they play in (we live on farm and it is dangerous for them to run free due to traffic and large livestock around).

RESCUE:

In our pathways we have come accross some Papillons in unfortunate situations. As we have a soft spot in our hearts for our dear furry friends, we just can't bear to leave them in those circumstances. So, when we come upon a rescue Papillon that owners are unable to care for anymore, or females rescued from puppy mill situations, we bring them to our home until we can find a suitable adoptive family. Please let us know if you would like more information on being a forever home to a spayed or neutered adult Papillon that needs TLC. There will be an adoption fee to cover any rescue and vet fees we incur. Also, some may have come from puppymill situations and be shy or timid due to the environment they were raised in. We feel that every dog deserves a quality lifetime home and want to help them find one. Are you interested in helping with this endevor? Contact us for more info.
